Volunteers Repair More Than 75 Bikes at Hillside Elementary
The school hosted a free bicycle clinic over the weekend for kids in the community.
From flat tires to broken chains, more than 75 bicycles were repaired during a bicycle clinic at on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The event was completely free thanks to the sponsorship of Love East Bay, a joint community service effort between churches and organizations. They provided work tables to do repairs on, tools and parts.
Close to a dozen bike mechanics, handymen and crafty women volunteered their time and skills to help fix kids' broken bicycles.
