Parent University Registration Underway
Castro Valley Adult and Career Education hosts popular April 21 workshop
"We're in This Together: Raising Healthy, Successful Children in Challening Times" is the theme of a special Parent University being offered by the on April 21 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The event will be held at the adult school offices at 4430 Alma Avenue.

George Papageorge, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 25 years of experience working with families, will speak at the event. He is a highly sought-after presenter who will speak on "Connecting With Our Kids".
There will also be two breakout sessions with a choice of 20 different workshops on topics such as bullying, kindergarten readiness, reducing the impact of divorce, parenting children with special needs, understanding teen development, positive discipline, homework without hassles, communicating with your children and teens, motivating the underachiever, setting limits, the truth about drug and alcohol use among teens, understanding the inner life of boys, self esteem, parenting for academic success and techno-safe kids.

The cost to register is $15 before April 1, $20 between April 2 and 16 and $25 after April 16. Registration payments can be made in person or mailed to the .
Childcare will be available at the event for children age 2 to 10 years at a cost of $15 per child. Children must be toilet trained and out of diapers.
