Peace Pole Unveiling At Lake Chabot Saturday

The Peace Police is 12-feet tall, and has the word "peace" written in multiple languages.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — World Peace Day 2021 will be marked Saturday at Lake Chabot Regional Park with the unveiling of a Peace Pole. The celebration will include peace messages, music, arts and crafts.

The centerpiece of the day is the unveiling of a 12-foot Peace Pole with the word “Peace” written in multiple languages.

Following the speaking program and music, the celebration continues with a light lunch and a guided walk by Board Director Dennis Waespi. Registration is requested to attend so there's enough food for all.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the COVE picnic site, 17600 Lake Chabot Rd. Please plan to arrive by 9:45 so the speakers are not interrupted.
