Police Identify Man Fatally Shot Monday Night

HAYWARD, CA- A man shot and killed in Hayward Monday night was identified by police today as 31-year-old Anton Williams. Officers received the first report of the shooting at 9:27 p.m. Monday in the 28000 block of Biscayne Avenue near Ruus Elementary School, according to police.
Officers arrived to find Williams unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, police said. Williams, who police initially said was 32 years old, was a Hayward resident. The suspected killer was described as a man 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 7 inches tall with light-colored skin who is in his late 20s or early 30s, according to police. He was described as heavy set and wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt and black jeans, police said.
