Search Warrants Served In Castro Valley, Hayward

The large scale operation is the result of an outbreak of violent crimes.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Police conducted a large-scale search warrant operation at multiple locations in Castro Valley and Hayward, police said.

At 4 p.m., investigators from the Hayward Police Department, with assistance from other neighboring agencies, conducted the search operation authorized for residences and apartments located in the city of Hayward, as well as unincorporated Hayward and Castro Valley.

The operation was the result of numerous investigations into several violent crimes that plagued the city of Hayward between August and December. The search operation culminated in the arrest of several individuals connected to the crimes, police said.

According to Hayward police, this operation was conducted by local law enforcement officials and did not involve any federal agencies. The operation is also not related to any immigration enforcement, police said.

Further details about the investigation or the search operation were not immediately available. Hayward police said that more information will be provided at a news conference tentatively planned for next week.
