SOSCV! Raises $3,400 in 'Tips' for Castro Valley Schools
Civic and community leaders waited tables Thursday night at Don Jose's Mexican Restaurant to raise money for Castro Valley schools.
Appreciation went toward chips, salsa and a side of education during a nonprofit organization's fundraiser for Castro Valley schools.

Local celebrity waiters, which included community service volunteers and civic and community leaders, served nearly 100 diners. They also encouraged diners to leave special tips directed to SOSCV!, which supports school programs.
"Even though we had fewer diners this time, I'd say the average tip was higher," said Mueller.
