When will the discount retailer will be open for business in Castro Valley?

A grand opening event scheduled for the new Castro Valley TJ MAXX is about six weeks away.

According to the TJ MAXX website, the store, which will be located at 3542 Jamison Way, will be celebrating the grand opening on May 4 between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The discount retailer is currently hiring for all store positions, according to a flier posted by Patch reader Carie Rose.

TJ MAXX is known for selling brand name clothes at discount prices.
