Three Adults Displaced by Hayward House Fire

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A one-alarm fire displaced three adults in Hayward this morning, a fire spokesman said. Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the 25600 block of Soto Road north of Harder Road around 7:50 a.m., fire spokesman Don Nichelson said. Crews arrived to find the blaze was coming from the two-story home’s front door and knocked down the fire by 8:05 a.m., he said.

The fire had spread to a second-floor bedroom and the home sustained smoke damage, according to Nichelson. No injuries were reported. The blaze did not threaten neighboring homes, he said.

Three adults displaced by the fire were able to receive assistance from family members, Nichelson said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
