Welcome to The Village Garden!

I'm happy to finally be posting this blog about gardening in the village of San Lorenzo. I'm Nick Stein and I've lived in SLZ for 24 years and have spent my entire life gardening and growing things. As Bay Area residents we are very blessed with wonderful, rich soil as well as mild weather and lots of sunny days. There are few things that cannot thrive here, and the more you follow national weather you will see how lucky that makes us. I hope this blog will be informative and timely and that it will encourage you to get out in your yard, get your hands dirty, and to take advantage of the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of gardening!
