1 Hospitalized In Westwood Commercial Fire

An early morning fire damaged a Westwood business Sunday, sending one man to the hospital.

WESTWOOD, CA — A fire that damaged a commercial building in Westwood and left one person hospitalized Sunday remains under investigation.

The fire broke out at 2:36 a.m. at 10959 W. Kinross Avenue. The commercial complex houses at least three businesses, and firefighters spent 41 minutes battling the blaze to protect the businesses, said spokeswoman Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Paramedics at the scene treated a 47-year-old man, who was taken to a hospital, but authorities did not say if he was hurt in the fire.

No details were available about his condition or whether it was a result of the fire, Bastman said. No other injuries were reported.
