405 Freeway Chase Ends in Westwood Crash
A driver led police on a chase from the 101 Freeway to the 405 Freeway, crashing at the Sunset Blvd off-ramp, forcing its closure.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A man was arrested Wednesday after he crashed his vehicle on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Westwood at the end of a police chase.
Police began following the man at 9:17 p.m. on the Ventura (101) Freeway at Haskell Avenue because he was weaving unsafely in and out of lanes, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Rubio.
The man led the police on a 10-minute chase that ended when he crashed his vehicle into a guard rail on the Sunset Boulevard off-ramp of the southbound portion of the freeway, Rubio said.

The driver was arrested at the scene but it was not immediately clear if he was injured.
The off-ramp was closed for the investigation.
