Sold On Westwood: The Highs and Lows of 2011

Catch the end of the year prices on solds in Westwood, houses and condos. You will be impressed!

Since this is the end of the year and we are talking Solds and I am Sold On Westwood, thought it would be fun to list the highest and lowest of the sales throughout 2011.

Let's do it on the high/low.  Like when we play poker we bet high or low only here forget the deck of cards, we are doing property pricing.

There were 150 homes that sold in 2011 in Westwood and out of that entire amount the highest price for a home was in Century City.  It was in a complex known as Century Woods.  This needs an explanation: Century Woods is a gated community within Century City, consisting of homes and condos, unlike most of our areas of Los Angeles. The free standing home sold for $4,000,000 and it was the most expensive sale in Westwood.  The second most expensive home that sold wasn't in a gated community it was located on a regular block near Holmby Park, on Woodruff and it sold for $3,400,000.  The least expensive home was a sale on Overland and that sold for $600,000.

The highest price for a condo that sold in Westwood was $9,200,000.  It was originally listed for 10 million and it sold close to the asking price.  This was out of the 424 condos that sold in 2011 in Westwood.  It was a penthouse located at The Remington on Wilshire Blvd.  The lowest price for a condo was a short pay at The Crown Towers on Wilshire and that sold for $270,000.
