Elderly Pair Injured in Westwood House Fire

A fire damaged a home near UCLA, and a 90-year-old man and 85-year-old woman were treated for smoke inhalation.

A fire damaged a house near UCLA today, and two people were taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters sent to the 500 block of South Warner Avenue in Westwood at 10:10 a.m. extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Paramedics took a 90-year-old man and an 85-year-old woman to a hospital in fair condition, the LAFD said.
