Lutoslawski Musique funèbre ("Funeral Music")
Haydn Symphony No. 103 in E-flat major, Drum Roll

Drum roll, please. The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra proudly presents a dramatic range of musical themes—from grandeur and majesty to poignancy and passion. Ignat Solzhenitsyn, principal guest conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra and talented son of the famous Russian novelist, leads the Orchestra in Lutosławski's immensely powerful tribute to Bartók and conducts the expressive Mozart Concerto from the keyboard. The concert ends with a bang — the long roll of the timpani announcing Haydn's joyous 103rd Symphony, one of the composer's finest masterpieces.
