THAO WITH THE GET DOWN STAY DOWN is a three-piece alternative, folk, rock band based out of San Fransisco. Thao Nyguen’s wobbly and engaging vocals give way to deceptively confessional lyrics as Adam Thompson accompanies her on bass guitar and Willis Thompson on drums.
Modest Mouse frontman Issac Brock’s latest discovery, MORNING TELEPORTATION, set SXSW ablaze with their high-energy live performance and electric, avant-garde sound that mixes banjo, talkbox, synthesizer, trumpet, and theremin.
