Girl Escapes Attempted Kidnapper Near Century City
Police are warning families about the danger of a kidnapper in the area and asking for help identifying a man who tried to grab a girl, 14.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Police released a sketch Friday of a man suspected of trying to kidnap a 14-year-old girl as she walked home from school near Century City.
The girl was walking about 4:40 p.m. on March 1 near the intersection of Pickford Street and Sherbourne Drive when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her back pack, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
"The victim fought the suspect and was able to escape," according to a police statement.

The girl fled to her home and her parents called police.
The suspect is white, about 50 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds with gray hair.
