High Speed Chase Forces Westwood Boulevard Closure

A police chase ended at Westwood Boulevard, triggering a closure between National Blvd and Coventry Place.

Los Angeles, CA - A burglary suspect was at large while two others were in custody tonight, after a wild car chase that began in Simi Valley and ended in Los Angeles.

The incident unfolded Thursday at 7 p.m., when police received reports of a burglary at a Simi Valley residence, Sgt. Jeff Dominick of the Simi Valley Police Department told City News Service.
The suspects drove a silver Kia at speeds of nearly 100 mph on the eastbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, ABC7 reported.

The suspects eventually transitioned onto the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway, CBS2 reported, recklessly bobbing, weaving and using emergency lanes before merging onto the Santa Monica (10) Freeway.
The suspects' car then lost a wheel, and two men exited on foot at an overpass by Washington Boulevard, then ran down National Boulevard in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles.
