HNTB Los Angeles staff volunteered at the Special Olympics as part of the Fans in the Stands program
Infrastructure firm HNTB Corporation's staff cheered on Special Olympics athletes during the competition
Joined by family and friends, HNTB staff in the Los Angeles office volunteered at the Special Olympics as part of the Fans in the Stands program. Fans in the Stands is a program that encourages groups to attend the Special Olympics and cheer for the athletes so there are always fans at the events.
The HNTB group made signs for the event during their recent office picnic; then they “volunCHEERED” at basketball games during preliminary rounds and gold medal games, which were held at the HNTB-designed Galen Center at USC. HNTB participants included Bill Cooperman, Tony Gonzales, Sean Huynh, Paul Kim, Joanna Lee, Ally Polancic, Jennie Santoro, John Trautmann, Cecilia Valino and Kirk Von Spaeth.
HNTB has been involved in some of the region’s most high-profile, complex infrastructure programs that are reshaping the West. The firm’s many signature infrastructure projects in the region include: the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium, the Interstate 405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements project, Seattle’s Sound Transit University Link light-rail and tunnel project, the Tom Bradley International Terminal Expansion for Los Angeles World Airports, and the “Green Build” expansion at San Diego International Airport.
