HNTB's Small Business Partner D'Leon Consulting Engineers named a finalist in the Los Angeles Business Journal's 2016 Latino

D’Leon Consulting Engineers, one of HNTB’s long-standing MBE/DBE firms, was recognized as a top finalist at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2016 Annual Latino Business Awards. President and professional engineer Domingo Leon founded D’Leon Consulting Engineers in 1989 after working with Bechtel for 12 years. Headquartered in Long Beach, CA, the firm provides planning, environmental preparation, design engineering and construction management support services to the public and private sector with special emphasis in capital improvement transit and transportation projects.

The firm has worked as HNTB’s partner on some of the largest transportation projects in Los Angeles, including the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor light rail; the Alameda Corridor project; and the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering’s Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement project where HNTB served as designer and overall project manager for the new iconic replacement bridge.
