Police are looking for a driver who fled on foot and after crashing into a patrol car.

A Los Angeles police officer was injured in a collision between a patrol car and a SUV today in the Beverlywood area, and officers were searching for the hit-and-run driver.

The collision at the intersection of Robertson Boulevard and Beverlywood Street took place about 2:40 p.m., said LAPD Officer Matthew Ludwig.

The officer suffered “lacerations to the arm” and was taken to a hospital, police said.
