Man Killed in Motorcycle-vs.-Car Accident ID'd

The Thursday evening crash happened at Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington.

A man killed in a crash with another vehicle while riding a motorcycle in West Los Angeles was identified today by the coroner's office.

Armand Vartanian, 30, was a Los Angeles resident, said coroner's Lt. Larry Dietz. His autopsy was pending.

The crash at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington Avenue was reported at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division, which was investigating the crash.

Vartanian was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital, said Officer Bruce Borihanh of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.
