Man Shot During Carjacking On Sunset Boulevard: Police

The stolen vehicle was a dark Prius, officials said.

HOLLYWOOD, CA --- A man was shot and wounded this morning during a carjacking in the Little Armenia section of East Hollywood and the shooter got away with the victim's car, police said.

The carjacking and shooting took place outside 5280 Sunset Blvd. about 3:35 a.m., said Sgt. D. Martin, watch commander at the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound.

His condition was not immediately reported.

The carjacker got away with the victim's car, which was described as a dark Prius, Martin said.
