Man Wanted In UCLA Frat Party Sexual Assault

Authorities hope someone will recognize a man identified as a "person of interest" in a sexual assault at an off-campus fraternity party.

WESTWOOD, CA — UCLA police are looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at an off-campus fraternity party in Westwood.

The alleged attack happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. at an Oct. 12 party in the 600 block of Gayley Avenue. A UCLA student told campus police she was assaulted by a man she did not know, said campus police Lt. Kevin Kilgore.

Police have pictures of the man, and they distributed the images Thursday in hopes that someone would recognize the man identified as a "person of interest." Authorities describe the man as Persian or Indian, 18 to 23 years old, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build, black hair, brown eyes, "full eyebrows" and a short beard.

On the night of the alleged assault, he wore black pants and a T-shirt with a "tuxedo photo" on it. He left the party, and was last seen heading north on Gayley Avenue, according to authorities.

"The specific fraternity is not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation," Kilgore said.
