One Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Sunset

Four vehicles were involved in the crash and the deceased victim died at the scene after being trapped in the wreckage.

One person was killed and three others injured in a multiple-vehicle crash in Westwood this afternoon, authorities said.

The crash happened around 6:13 p.m. in the 10200 block of West Sunset Boulevard east of Beverly Glen Boulevard in Westwood, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to initial information, four vehicles were involved in the crash and the deceased victim died at the scene after being trapped in the wreckage, Humphrey said.

Two of the injured victims suffered moderate injuries and one sustained a minor injury, he said.

Sunset Boulevard was expected to remain closed in the area of the crash, Humphrey said.
