Police Ask for Help Finding Westwood Shooter

Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division today said they are looking for four black males in their 20s who fled in a silver Nissan, possibly an Altima with tinted windows, after a shooting that occurred in Westwood.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the chest early Sunday morning when he and two friends left a bar in Westwood and got into an argument with four men in the parking lot, police said.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after the shooting, which took place about 2 a.m. at 1037 Broxton Avenue, LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said.

The officer did not name the establishment, but the address he gave corresponds to Barney’s Beanery.

During the argument, the victim was knocked to the ground and one of the suspects fired three rounds, at least one of which hit the victim in the upper body, police said.
