Police Investigating Suspicious Item Found Near Bank

Police are investigating a suspicious item found around 7:20 p.m. near a Chase bank branch at the corner of Pico Boulevard and Selby Avenue north of the Westside Pavilion in West Los Angeles, said Los Angeles police Detective Gus Villanueva.

The item turned out to be an empty briefcase, Villanueva said.
