Post-Amputation, Zsa Zsa Gabor Asked 'Am I Going to Die?'

The ailing star is awake and alert that part of her right leg is gone.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband said Tuesday that the ailing actress asked if she was going to die when she was told doctors amputated part of her leg.

In an interview posted on RadarOnline.com, Prince Frederic von Anhalt said he broke the news to Gabor, his wife of 25 years, the day before.

"The doctors and I sat down and explained it to her. She was very alert," von Anhalt said. "She was not very emotional at all. She asked, 'Am I going to die?' and I told her that is why they took the leg. I told her that the doctors said that the infection was moving and if it had gone into her hip—that would be it—she would die."
