Saint Sebastian School Launches Dual Language Immersion Program
Saint Sebastian Students Will Learn In Both English and Spanish in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten
Los Angeles, CA: Saint Sebastian School, a private Catholic preschool, elementary and middle school in West Los Angeles, will begin its new Spanish-English Dual Language Immersion Program exactly one month from today, August 24th. Enrollment is open for incoming Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten (Ages 4 and 5) students. The program will feature half the day’s learning in Spanish, the other half in English. The Dual Language Program will be only the second such for a Catholic School in California.
As Dual Language Programs have risen in popularity, the results demonstrate a continued pattern of success:
• Students gain grade level academic ability, well-developed language and literacy skills in two languages.
• Dual Language learning programs have proven to close the achievement gap between English learners and native English speakers
• Students develop greater cross-cultural competency and understanding
There are limited spots available for admission into the program. Please go to www.saintsebastianschool.com/dual-language-immersion-program.html for more information on this program for your student.
