Still No Charges Filed in Fatal Crash Involving Selma Hayek's Brother
An autopsy done on Ian Cuttler Sala, a Grammy-award winning art director and photographer, shows he died of "multiple traumatic injuries." Driver Sami Hayek may have been speeding, police say.
An autopsy done on the Grammy-winning art director killed when the exotic car he was riding in struck a pickup truck on Sunset Boulevard showed he died from the impact, according to a coroner's report released today.
Ian Cuttler Sala, 43, of New York City, died of "multiple traumatic injuries" in the wreck, which the coroner's office listed as an accident.
Police said Sami Hayek, 40, the younger brother of actress Salma Hayek, may have been speeding eastbound on Sunset when he lost control of a 2006 Ford GT near Mapleton Drive. The limited production, 500-horsepower-plus car skidded into westbound lanes, where it was struck in the passenger side by a westbound Toyota Tacoma about 4:50 p.m. Sunday.
