UCLA Insights Into Cancer – That’s My Story And I’m Sticking To It: Making Sense of the Cancer Journey
The Simms/Mann - UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology is pleased to present, "That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It: Making Sense of the Cancer Journey" the latest lecture in our Insights Into Cancer series. Featuring, Jeff Tirengel, PsyD, MPH, Professor of Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. Dr. Tirengel began his career in Washington, DC, serving public and private organizations including the U.S. Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion and the National Association of Community Health Centers. His presentation will offer a framework for making sense of the commonalities and differences in our stories about cancer journeys. Illustrations from books, movies, and the presenter's own experiences as a psychologist, cancer patient, and family caregiver.
