Tony Lee, a 26-year veteran of the Beverly Hills Police Department, has been named UCLA's new chief of police, effective March 13.

WESTWOOD, CA - A 26-year-veteran of the Beverly Hills Police Department and UCLA graduate is the new police chief of his alma mater, it was announced Tuesday.
Tony Lee, who most recently served as a Beverly Hills police captain, assumed his UCLA post on Monday, according to the university.
"It's truly an amazing honor to be selected as the police chief in what I consider to be one of the finest university police departments in the nation," Lee said.
