Union Protesters Block Wilshire Boulevard
A University of California employee's union shut down Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood, leading to numerous arrests.
WESTWOOD, CA — The intersection of Wilshire and Westwood Boulevards in the Westwood area has been cleared of union protesters and traffic is moving again.
Police broke up the protest taking about 15 protesters into custody.
A UC workers' union protest had blocked both directions of Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood Wednesday afternoon. Motorists were being urged to avoid the area.
