Volunteer opportunities plus a free family festival will entertain families this weekend.

There's a little something for everyone this weekend including volunteer opportunities, classical music and a family festival.
1) Big Sunday project at Ralph Waldo Emerson Middle School
Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend and teach them about volunteerism? How about a Big Sunday project? Altruistic people all over town are organizing volunteer projects May 14 and 15 to celebrate Big Sunday, an annual Southern California event in which thousands of people lend a hand at nonprofits, schools and parks. There is still room for volunteers to help spruce up Emerson Middle School on Saturday by painting murals, picking weeds and cleaning classrooms. For more information or to sign up, click here to visit Emerson’s page on the Big Sunday website. The site also lists other projects throughout Southern California that are in need of volunteers.
