1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured in Norwalk Double Shooting

Deputies dispatched to the scene found two men lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso, authorities said.

NORWALK, CA -- Sheriff's detectives were investigating a double shooting in Norwalk on Sunday morning that left one man dead and another one in serious condition.

The shooting occurred in the 12000 block of Molette Street at 2:30 a.m., according to sheriff's Lt. Steve Jauch.

Deputies dispatched to the scene found two men lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso, said Deputy Juanita Navarro- Suarez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

Both victims were rushed to an area hospital, where one was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds and the other was listed in serious condition with a single gunshot wound, Navarro-Suarez said.

A motive was unknown.
