A car chase from the scene stretched into Anaheim, but the driver and passengers was caught and brought back to scene for questioning.

BUENA PARK (CNS) - Two people were shot in the parking lot at a hookah lounge in Buena Park on Sunday, and a car chase from the scene stretched into Anaheim.

About 2:30 a.m. a police officer in the area reported hearing gunshots at the La Capitane Hookah Lounge, 8558 Beach Blvd. When he arrived, the officer saw several people leaving the scene, said Buena Park police Sgt. Bret Carter.

One vehicle was being driven south in northbound lanes of beach Boulevard, and police thought they might have some information regarding the shooting, Carter said.

The driver, who was not injured or wounded, and his four occupants were brought back to Buena Park and were being questioned about their roles in the shooting.

"All the pieces are there. It's just a matter of talking to everybody," he said. "It's a hookah lounge on a Saturday night."

Two people were injured by gunfire in the parking lot. Their medical conditions were not made public.
