5-Car Pileup Shuts Down 605 In Cerritos
A five-car crash requiring multiple ambulances shut down the northbound side of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Cerritos: BREAKING.
CERRITOS, CA — A five-vehicle crash on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Cerritos Thursday evening shutdown all northbound lanes and most southbound lanes.
The collision was reported at 10:11 p.m. at South Street, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi.
The crash occurred on the northbound side, and at least one of the vehicles crashed into the center divider, causing debris to spill onto the southbound side, Polizzi said.

Three ambulances were requested at the scene, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher, but it wasn't immediately clear how many people required hospitalization or what the conditions of the injured were.
All northbound lanes were closed as well as the carpool and the three left lanes on the southbound side, according to Polizzi.
