• Two Sentenced in Counterfeit iPhone Scheme That Hit Pasadena Apple Store (pasadenanow.com) — Cerritos shoppers should know that the local Apple Store was among several Southern California locations hit in a long‑running counterfeit iPhone and iPad swap scheme that cost Apple over $16 million. Two Inland Empire men have now been sentenced to multi‑year federal prison terms and ordered to pay hefty restitution for orchestrating the fraud across numerous area malls and stores.
