• Two Sentenced in Counterfeit iPhone Scheme That Hit Pasadena Apple Store (pasadenanow.com) — Cerritos residents should know that the local Apple Store was among several Southern California locations hit in a long-running counterfeit iPhone and iPad swap scheme that cost Apple over $16 million. Two Inland Empire men have now been sentenced to multi-year federal prison terms, with prosecutors detailing how fake devices were exchanged for genuine ones and then shipped for resale, including overseas.
