Steady Growth Brings New Leadership Roles in 2013 for Law Firm

CERRITOS, Calif.—Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud and Romo (AALRR) is pleased to announce that Robert Wenzel, former chair of the Employer Services Practice Group, has been appointed Co-Chief Operating Officer. Wenzel will assist in providing oversight of AALRR’s operations.  He will also work closely with practice group chairs as part of his involvement in the firm’s strategic initiatives relating to practice area growth.

Wenzel joins Steve Andelson, who has held the position of Chief Operating Officer for the past three years.  Andelson will continue in his role of heading special projects, and budget development and monitoring.  He will work, as well, with some of the new practice group chairs recently appointed as a result of the formation of four new practice groups: Public Entity Labor and Employment, Corporate, Special Education, and Commercial and Complex Litigation.

The move comes on the heels of AALRR’s steady growth and expansion, which also sparked a recent move of its San Diego office to larger quarters. Managing Partner James C. Romo believes the changes come at the perfect time for the firm’s strategic objectives.

Partner Irma Moisa Rodriguez will now oversee the firm’s Public Entity Labor and Employment group and Nate J. Kowalski will now act as the Assistant Chair to the group.
