Assemblymember Garcia Wants Youth for “Young Legislators” Program
The program, free of charge, provides students the opportunity to learn about the Legislative process, while integrating themselves within their local communities by participating in community service.

Assemblymember Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens) announces that her office is actively encouraging high school students to become the leaders of tomorrow, by applying to become a Young Legislator, as part of her program in the 58th Assembly District.
The program, free of charge, provides students the opportunity to learn about the Legislative process, while integrating themselves within their local communities by participating in community service. Young Legislators will be able to learn about the process by which proposed bills become law. Participants will meet regularly to surface and discuss possible ideas for legislation and learn how to draft, submit and ultimately win approval for their proposals.
