AT&T Site Shows Company's Network Upgrades in Cerritos & Artesia

Cerritos and Artesia AT&T customers can now view up-to-date network enhancements through the company's new interactive online map, an AT&T representative announced last week.

The new microsite, which features a neighborhood-level view of AT&T's network improvements, is updated weekly to reflect new cell sites and Internet speed and connection upgrades, according to AT&T representative Meredith Red.

The launch of the new website comes six months after AT&T's cellular service was ranked the lowest in customer satisfaction for the second year in a row in a Consumer Reports survey of 66,000 cell service subscribers.

In Cerritos, the map shows the company has completed 16 network upgrades since January 2011, including eight capacity upgrades and eight network connection upgrades. The city of Artesia has had two capacity and network connection upgrades collectively.

According to the site, capacity upgrades help improve service quality and reduce dropped calls while network connection upgrades help enable 4G speeds on compatible phones.

"The microsite provides an unparalleled view, unlike any other in the industry, of what AT&T is doing to enhance the customer experience," said Red.
