Basement Fire at Disneyland Hotel Triggered Brief Evacuation
A Disneyland firefighter suffered from minor smoke inhalation while battling the fire caused by oil on a machine in the basement.

ANAHEIM, CA — A small fire in the basement of the Disneyland Hotel on Saturday triggered the temporary evacuation of three floors at the high-rise structure.
A Disneyland firefighter suffered from minor smoke inhalation while battling the fire caused by oil on a machine in the basement catching fire, said Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.
The firefighter was treated at the scene, Wyatt said.

Firefighters dispatched at 5:45 a.m. to 1150 Magic Way quickly put out the fire, which generated a large amount of smoke that traveled through the basement tunnel and into the vents, prompting the evacuation of the hotel's first three floors, he said.
"It (the evacuation) lasted for 60 to 90 minutes. Guests were relocated to another tower," he said. "No guests were at risk."
