senior Katherine Gabayeron was selected to the 2010-2011 All-CIF Southern Section Division 6 Water Polo team, the CIF announced Monday. The 14-girl team representing Division 5 team was selected by the Southern California Water Polo Coaches' Association. Led by Gabayeron, the Dons had a strong run in the CIF playoffs, losing in the semifinals to Malibu, 10-4. Cerritos was the No. 3 seed in the playoffs, earning a first-round bye. The Dons then defeated Pacifica (10-9) and Chadwick (9-6) before losing in the semis. Cerritos entered the playoffs as the second-place team from the San Gabriel Valley League.
