Cerritos Sheriffs Recognized by Marines Battalion

A few days after helping send 700 care packages to the 1st CEB in Afghanistan, the Cerritos Sheriff's Station receives a gift in return.

Friends of the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (CEB, USMC), an Adoption Committee from the City of Cerritos, presented a Special Recognition Shadow Box to the Cerritos Sheriff's Station on Wednesday.

Sergeant Mark Patrick and Lieutenant Allen Castellano accepted the gift on behalf of their department.

The Cerritos Sheriff's Station has been supporting the Marines and Sailors of the 1st CEB for the past five years with donations of socks for the Deployment Bags that are sent overseas to both Iraq and Afghanistan. The sheriffs also provide station tours for the "Meritorious Marine of the Month"  program, plus other forms of support.
