Costa Mesa Parish Annual Rummage Sale to Benefit Struggling Teens

St. Joachim Sale Takes Place during the 2015 Harvest Festival Fair

Come treasure hunting through new and slightly used household items, sports gear and clothing at the annual sale at St. Joachim’s Parish in Costa Mesa during the Harvest Festival 2015 on Oct. 23 – 25. St. Joachim Catholic Church is located at 1964 Orange Ave.

Proceeds from the sale will once again benefit the parish youth group programs particularly the highly anticipated annul Big Bear Mountain retreat. The retreat provides more than 100 students with an opportunity to step away from the pressures of school and teen life and reflect on their faith, family and friends.

“Many of these teens and their parents don’t have the means to fund their trip to Big Bear so as a community we support them with this sale. It’s a fun volunteer experience and a chance to meet so many members of the Newport Beach and Costa Mesa,” said St. Joachim Youth Group Minister Alex Frausto who organizes the sale. ”We know it means a lot to the teens to go on the Big Bear trip and it pays off when they return home with warm hearts for their family and friends, and their own futures.”
