'Easily Confused' Elderly Man Missing In Cerritos: LASD

"Mr. Smith is easily confused and forgetful and his friends and family are very concerned for his well-being," authorities said.

CERRITOS, CA – Authorities are seeking the public's help Friday in locating a 79-year-old missing Cerritos man. Jake Dale Smith was last seen leaving his home on the 3800 block of Amhurst Court in Cerritos on Monday at 4:30 p.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit said.

Smith is described as 6’3”, 195 pounds, gray short hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue pants.

"Mr. Smith is easily confused and forgetful and his friends and family are very concerned for his well-being and asking for the public’s assistance in locating him," the LASD press release said.
