CCASCA Dragon Boat Festival & Arts Exhibit

Cerritos Chinese-American Senior Citizens Association (CCASCA) cordially invites all to the Dragon Boat Festival Luncheon & Arts Exhibition.

Guests can enjoy a Chinese art exhibit that showcasing artworks from members and teachers from the community including Chinese calligraphy, painting, photography and paper folding.

Four master teachers will demonstrate the various Chinese calligraphy and painting techniques. Viewers can participate in the question and answer sessions and some of the artists' art works will be offered as raffle prizes.

The special festivity buffet lunch will feature bamboo-leaf-wrapped sticky rice called Tzong Zi (similar to tamale), performances, and raffle drawings.

The Association will also honor 19 mothers who have contributed so much to their family and to the people around them. These honorees are all nominated by their children, relatives and friends.

The schedule is as follows:

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Art Exhibit

10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Master Teacher Demonstration

11:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. Lunch

1:45 p.m. – 2 p.m. Honor Good Mothers and Good Fathers

2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Performances and Raffle Drawing
