The Gladiators (18-8), runners-up in the tough San Gabriel Valley League, will host Loara (16-11). The visting Saxons are the second place team from the Golden West League.   The Olympic League runners-up, (16-10), will be home to battle Serra (18-5) in Division 5 action. Serra finished second in the Camino Real League.   The Wildcats softball team faces a tough road, literally.   Whitney faces the long trip to Carpinteria for their Division 6 opener on Thursday. Both teams were runners-up in their respective leagues.   Both the baseball and softball teams from Cerritos High, along with the baseballers from Whitney and the softball team from Gahr, did not qualify for postseason play.
