Man Fatally Shot in Compton While Walking
Witnesses said the man was on a sidewalk in the area when he was shot, the sheriff's department said.
COMPTON, CA — A man was fatally shot Friday as he walked in Compton.
Douglas Anthony Green, 38, of Compton died at the scene of the shooting, reported about 4:50 a.m. in the 2500 block of West Compton Boulevard, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Witnesses said Green was on a sidewalk in the area when he was shot, the sheriff's department said.
