Man Fatally Shot During Argument at Norwalk Skatepark

During the argument, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim several times in the chest, police said.

NORWALK, CA -- A man was shot dead at a skate park in Norwalk, a sheriff's deputy said Sunday.

Witnesses saw the victim at the park in the 12200 block of Sproul Street with several other people when he became involved in an argument with another man, said Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

During the argument, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim several times in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Jansen said.

The shooting was reported at 7:59 p.m. Saturday, she said.

No suspect information was available.
